Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Organization(Majlis Khuddamul-Ahmadiyya), Oyo State has held a mentorship and interactive programme for its members between the age of 18 and 35 years on 31st October, 2020.
Against the backdrop of abusive use of social media, increased immoral behaviours and high rate of cybercrime in the society, MKA Oyo State deemed it significant to orientate the youths with a view to disabusing their minds from perpetuating these crimes.
Besides, the program was aimed at providing an avenue to interact with the young ones, availing suitable guidelines and befitting ways to reform the victims and as well prepare the young minds against falling into the traps.
The programme had the presence of State Qaid (Chairman of the Occasion) and three facilitators – Bro. Ajimoti Muzaffar and Bro Ajibade Taofeeq who spoke on the topics “Opportunities and Borders in the ICT Industry and Role Model and Mentorship” respectively.
Participants were exposed to various available opportunities in the IT industry that could be an advantage and in return be a legal way of earning income.
In his presentation, Bro. Muzaffar Ajimoti explained that the ultimate of everyone is to have self-satisfaction; only then will our heart and mind be at peace.
In the same vein, Bro. Taofeeq Ajibade, in his presentation, took the participants through an informative journey on role model and mentorship, making it an interactive.
Herein, participants were engaged to ascertain their attentions throughout the programme. That is, the speaker allowed the participants to speak on who their role models are, while being assisted with useful information where necessary.
Furthermore, Bro. Mubarak Adeleke discussed the need and importance of building a relationship with Khalifah, just as he stressed the need to always read Jama’at literature, watch MTA (Muslim Television Ahmadiyya) and listen to Huzur’s Friday Sermon. All these will assist one to have a successful structure and guidance in the human endeavor, he said.
In conclusion, the programme ended with a short message from Bro. A’Hakeem A. Mustapha representing AMSA Oyo State. In his address, he enjoined all participants to do more in developing themselves personally.
