Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Cross River State has paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Cross River State, Mr. M. Hafiz Inuwa on Tuesday 7th, November, 2017.
The visit was scheduled in collaboration with the Cross River State Police Public Relations Officer, Irene Ugbo (ASP), who conveyed the Majlis delegates, on arrival at State Police Command Headquarters, Diamond Hill, Calabar to the office of the Commissioner, where all the top ranking officers were waiting in eagerness to receiving the delegates.
Stating the purpose of the visit, the State Qaid, Muallim (Dr) Waliyyullah Oni gave a brief speech about the Majlis since inception, the purpose of its establishment, our achievements and our activities.
He stated that the purpose of the current visit is to intimate the state security, especially the police, about the annual national programme tagged ‘Stop the Crime Campaign’ that has started since 2014 in various states, among others.
In his words: “Adolescents are the most vulnerable sets of people in relation to crime. Therefore, secondary schools, where we believe majority of the adolescents are, are targeted for this year campaign against the crime.”
The Commissioner expressed joy with respect to Majlis’ commitments as youths to help the government, especially the law enforcement agents to intellectually stop the crime amongst young people in the state.
He also pledged support of the State Police Command to the organisation and if the need arises, he can be called upon by the State Qaid.
While appreciating the CP for his warm reception, Dr Oni presented the Majlis Annual Report as well as Stop The Crime Campaign pamphlets to him.
In attendance were Deputy Commissioner of Police Administration, Deputy Commissioner of Police Operation, Deputy Commissioner of Police State Secret Services, Assistant Commissioner of Police Administration, Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Assistant Commissioner of Police State Secret Services and State Police Public Relations Officer, Irene Ugbo (ASP).
Majlis’ delegations also include Engr. Qasim Musa, Naib State Qaid; Bro. Luqman Akintobi, State Atfal Secretary; Bro. Abdul Wasiu Abidoye and Bro. Isa Ekpeyong Bassey.
