In a remarkable effort to foster growth and strengthen grassroots development, the Sadr (National President) of Majlis Khuddam Ahmadiyya Nigeria (MKAN), Mr. AbdurRoqib Akinyemi, embarked on a comprehensive tour of the South-South/South-East region from February 20 to 23, 2025. The six-member delegation from the national executive included the General Secretary (Motamad), Mr. Abdulhamid Otule; Muavin Sadr, Mr. Moshood Oje; Secretary of Sports and Health (Sihat-e-Jismani), Mu’allim Abdul Kabir Folorunsho; Assistant Secretary Umumi, Mr. Sodiq Aremu; and Assistant Secretary of Media and Publications (Isha’at), Mr. Abdulquadri Olanrewaju.

The tour covered several Jama’ats (communities), including Warri, Benin, Agbede, and Agenebode, where Sadr engaged with local leaders, missionaries, and members of the Majlis (organization). Throughout the visit, he emphasized the importance of commitment, responsibility, and exemplary leadership. He urged youth members to uphold Islamic values, actively participate in Jama’at activities, and work towards both personal and communal development. Additionally, he encouraged members to remain steadfast in their religious duties, excel in their careers, and prioritize marrying within the fold to strengthen the Jama’at.

At various stops, Sadr and his delegation were warmly welcomed by traditional and religious leaders. The Onoghie of Iviukhua Community, High Chief Alhaji S.S. Izuagbe, received the delegation at his palace and offered prayers for the success of the Majlis. Retired missionary Alhaji Yahya Ayaghena also prayed for the Sadr and commended his dedication. In Agbede, an esteemed Imam of Eko Habeeb, Mallam Miftaudeen Habeeb, the eldest man in the village, expressed appreciation for the visit, praying for continued strength and success for the Majlis leadership.

A key highlight of the tour was the South-South/South-East Regional Meeting, where Sadr joined Naib Sadr (Vice National President) South-South/South-East, Mu’allim Basirudeen Sulaimon, and other regional executives to discuss critical issues. He reminded officers that leadership is a responsibility requiring dedication and sacrifice, stressing that no officeholder should feel content while work remains undone, as accountability before Allah is paramount. During the meeting, Sadr announced the creation of a new Dil’a (district)—Agenebode—previously under Etsako Dil’a, as well as the renaming of Etsako Dil’a to Auchi/Agbede Dil’a. The restructuring aims to enhance grassroots development, allowing for more efficient administration and increased engagement in Jama’at activities across Auchi, Agbede, and Agenebode.

As the tour concluded, Mallam Abdullah Oshiobughie Muhammad, a respected Jama’at member in Auchi, praised Sadr and his delegation for their efforts in reviving the Jama’at across local communities. Edo State MKAN members also expressed deep appreciation, bidding the delegation farewell with gratitude and prayers. Through this extensive tour, Sadr and his team have reinforced the Majlis’ mission, inspiring renewed commitment among members and strengthening the foundation for sustained progress in the region.
