In order to appreciate the relentless efforts of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Nigeria towards saving lives through regular blood donation, the Management of University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan has awarded its Oyo Chapter for its long time voluntary services during the Hospital’s 60th Anniversary Celebration held on 20th November, 2017.

The award plaque was received at the event in the presence of the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.

In another development, the Majlis also had blood donations at the UCH and National Blood Transfusion Service respectively to mark its Welfare Week programmes on 25th November, 2017.

At the UCH blood bank, 106 members donated out of 112 while at NBTS, 101 donated out of 104 present. On the same day, a welfare visitation was made to Ibadan Motherless Baby Home at Omolewa Street, opposite UCH, Ibadan by State Qaid Bro. Awe Abdul Akeem leading a 9 men delegation to the orphanage. Prayers were offered for the kids and their handlers as well as donation of gift items.

Moreover, in continuation of the welfare strive was a visitation to the inmates of Agodi Prisons, Agodi Ibadan on Thursday 30th November, 2017 where a bag of rice, drugs for a sick inmate, as well as fund for the construction of the prison mosque was donated.
