As part of its unrelented drive to ensure the efforts of security agencies are complemented, Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Oyo State has paid a courtesy visit to Oyo state Commissioner of Police, C.P. Abiodun Odude in his office at Oyo State Police Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan recently.
The 6-man delegation, led by the State Qaid, Bro. Awe Abdul Akeem, include Naib State Qaid 1, Bro Ogundokun Qazeem, Naib Muhtamin Khidmat-e-Khalq, Bro. Adekola Misbaudeen and Apata Dil’a Qaid, Bro. Miftaudeen Hussein, among others.
The C.P welcomed the delegation to his office by saying ‘we appreciate you and pray our meeting today marks a beginning of a good relationship’. He then continued explaining how peace and harmony should be maintained in the state and a duty of all and sundry. Training and sharing ideas, among others are ways to which we can collaborate, he opined.
In his speech, Bro Awe intimated the C.P about the initiatives of MKAN towards ensuring adequate peace, stressing on MKAN’s Stop the Crime Campaign and several community and selfless services which include regular blood donations, dignity of labour, welfare visits, tree planting, electronic and open air preaching.
Responding, the C.P welcomed warmly MKAN’s outstanding initiatives and commitments towards ensuring a better society devoid of crimes. He thereby quoted from the Section 4 of Police Acts the duties of Police as maintainance of law and order, apprehension of offenders and so on and on a final note that ‘police is not a one man business’. He thereby gave his mobile number and the Police Public Relations Officer.
Meanwhile, some Jama’at literatures were given to the CP which include Review of Religions, Murder in the Name of Allah, World Crises and Pathway to Peace, and AYAAG 2016 Photo Book. Also present at the meeting were the Force P.R.O, DSP Ajisebutu Adekunle and Force O.C. Legal.
