In preparation towards the 2nd Biennial Regional Atfal/Nasrat Ijtema, Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Ojodu Dil’a has held a three-day mini Ijtema for Majlis Atfal and Nasrat in its district between 30th June and 2nd July, 2017 at Akiode Eid Praying Ground.
The children were educated on Etiquettes of Gathering and Rules and Regulations while Book Review was done with respect to the three groups: Group I Age7-9yrs: Muslim Festivals and Ceremony; Group II Age 10-12yrs: The True Story of Jesus Christ (as) and Group III 13-15yrs: A Man of God.
The other topic treated were Islamic Etiquettes on Sleeping and Call of Nature, My Body My Pride, Prophet Muhammad (saw) as a Child, Love and Care of Parents and the Aged and the theme of the Ijtema: Prophet Muhammad: Our Mentor, Our Role Model.
Educational and Sporting competitions, Qur’an, Quiz, Qaseedah, Concentration Race and Puzzle are among events the children participated in.
The programme enjoyed the presence of personalities, among which are: Circuit President, Alh. Abdul Hakeem Arowosere; State Qaid, Bro Shuaib Badmus, Circuit Missionary, Muallim Abdul Kabeer Folorunsho; Muallim Awwal, Iju Jama’at; Missionary Trainee, Muallim Munawar Akinyemi; Circuit Tabligh Secretary who also doubles as the Murabi Atfal, Alh. Abdur Rasaq Ma’roof; former Dil’a Qaid and the President Akute Jama’at, Bro AbdulHakeem Adeniran; Ojodu Jama’at President, Pa Ibrahim Monilade; Ojodu Muqami Lajna President, Alhaja M. A. Balogun; Mrs Ojediran and Mrs. Arowosere.
The State Qaid, while commenting on the theme of the programme, said Muslims must abide by the commandments in Qur’an and Hadith before they can show love for the Prophet (saw). He also advised the children to always write letters to Huzur aqdas (atba) in order to strengthen the bond of khilafah from childhood.
Other attendees, in their separate comments, expressed their utmost joy at the programme and advised continuity of such in order to upbring the children with Islamic tenets and groom them for the future.
63 children attended the programme: 34 Atfal and 29 Nasrat.
