Seeing that the pot holes serving three different major roads leading to Igbesa Community are threats to people and vehicle, Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Ota Dil’a has taken the bold step to fill the pot holes on 7th May, 2017.
The major work done was digging and evacuating of the sand from the drainage and using it to fill up the already drained portholes in the heart of Igbesa Community, on one of their major road that linked Agbara Road to a very busy “T” Junction of Igbesa community by 53 Majlis members using shovel, pick and mattock hoe, head pans and wheel barrow.
According to the report, the removal of the sand from the drainage helps in the free flow of water disturbing them in the area very close to canal; filling of the porthole helps the motorist, ‘Okada’ riders including the pedestrians to get easy access to their working place and it beautifies the junctions as everywhere is seen level up to the ground floor.
Meanwhile, a well-known Chief in the area, Chief Femi Obanla, owner of Green Ways Petrol Filling Stations appreciated the efforts of the Majlis by giving words of encouragement, saying that he was very happy seeing the Majlis doing the job with passion as the road has been in dilapidated condition for years but he thank Allah and the Majlis for the intervention.
The Dil’a had the privilege of the participation of Muhtamin Waqar-e-Amal, Bro Muftau Bakare.
