MKAN Sadr attends Lagos Ahmadi Muslim Youth 1st Annual inter-district & Higher Institutions Competition

Th Lagos State Ahmadi Muslim Youth (Majlis Khuddamul-Ahmadiyya) Nigeria, has helAnnual Interdistrict & Higher Institutions Competition, and award excellent on 21st August 2021.

The programme was held in collabration with Lagos State Blood Transfusion Service (LSBTS) at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Mosque, Agidingbi Ikeja Lagos State.

The programme featured events such as Quiz competition, Speech contest, PowerPoint paper presentation among Khuddam students representing various districts/Dil’aat and higher institution/AMSA Lagos State Units. Also, members participated in the blood donation exercise organized by LSBTS to mark World Youth Day.

The Sadr, MKA Nigeria, Dr Taofeeq Sanni sahib who chairs the occasion gave an opening address that centred around the theme of the programme. In his speech, he said that the programme was necessary, in that it will encourage members to always strive to achieve excellence in their respective chosen careers. He further admonished members of the Majlis on the need to imbibe good morals and achieve academic excellence. Stressing that members should shun crime & criminality as there are no short-cuts to achieving success in life.

The hosting youth leader (Qaid) Brother Roqib Akinyemi sahib said in his welcoming address that the annual event was organized to promote good morals and excellence and discourage members from engaging in unlawful behaviours. He emphasized obedience to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as our role model.

This was followed by the presentation of prizes to competitors that emerged 1st, 2nd & 3rd position in the Quiz competition, speech contest and PowerPoint paper presentation for both the Dil’a and AMSA categories respectively as fifteen prizes were won in total.

Awards of Excellence were given to members of the Majlis who had outstanding performance academically. In addition, presentation of prizes to Majlis Atfal Lagos State representatives at the recently held Atfal National Ijtema, Remo Ogun State.

Similarly, some past serving members of the MKA Lagos State who had served meritoriously were given awards of excellence for their selfless service towards the progress of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Lagos State.

Among them were the immediate past MKA Lagos State Qaid, Brother Shuaib Alani Badmus sahib and the former Nazim Khidmatul Khalq, Brother AbdulFattah Alabi. The MKA Lagos State awarded a total of 27 individuals for their excellent performance in academics, profession and office of duty in the Majlis.

Thereafter, comments were received from guests and dignitaries who all applauded the host for organizing this programme.

The dignitaries who graced the occasion included Mowe/Ibafo Circuit President/Chairman Committee of Circuits Lagos State, Alhaji AbdulHameem Arowosere; Ojodu Circuit President, Alhaji Misbaudeen Owolowo; Agege Circuit President, Alhaji Imran Bello; Central Missionary Lagos State, Muallim Abdul Qahhar Olowonmi; Agidingbi Jama’at president, Brother Shamsudeen; Muhtamim Ta’leem Mulk, Brother Taofik Oladiti; Rep. of the Executive Secretary, LSBTS, Mrs Balogun; and Rep of NYCN Lagos State, Comrade Oluwagbemiga.
