The Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Nigeria Osun Ilaqa also known as the Ahmadiyya Youths Organisation on November 7 held her Second Annual Hijra Quran and Speech Competition at Blue and White Hotel in Osogbo.
Among the many dignitaries who graced the event were the immediate former Amir Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria and chairman of the programme, Professor Moshood Adenrele Fashola; Dr Lukman A. Sumonu; Central Missionary of Osun State, Mualvi Mubarak Bello; Chairman Youth Council of Nigeria Osun State chapter, Comrade Ismail; Mr Oluyide Olulawal; The Circuit Missionary Ede, Ustaz Muhammadul Awal Abdulhakeem; Circuit President Ede, Pa D.A. Raheem and many others.
In speech contest, Taufeeq Raheemat from Fazl Umar College, Ede came first, Adesina Abdulmalik from Islamic College Ikirun came second and Abdulrazak Zunurein from Almiteeqiy Group of Schools Osogbo came third in the competition.
Examining students in Quran memorization however, Adenusi Muhammadu Qudus from Fazl Umar College, Ede came first, Abdulqasim Shakir from Islamic College Ikirun came second while Abubakr Jamiu from Markaz Iragbiji collected prize for the third position.
The former Amir, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria and chairman of the programme, Professor Moshood Adenrele Fashola after presenting the contestants with handsome prizes for their performance in the competition enjoined Muslims to honor the Holy Quran and obey its commandments.
The acting State Qaid Osun Ilaqa, Brother Nurudeen Abdulateef presented the former Amir with an award for his sacrifice and hard work in the service of Islam.
