Lagos State Ahmadi Muslim Youth Organization (Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya), has participated in the annual interactive session of the Lagos state Ministry of youth and social development, held on 29th January, 2020.
The ministry of youth and social development annual interactive session is an avenue for collecting annual reports and work plans of youth organizations and where youth organizations table their challenges for discussion.
After the opening addresses by the director of youth and the permanent secretary, the honourable commissioner declared open the session.
Various VYOs and NGOs laid bare their complaints and challenges they had concerning their collaboration with the ministry. Most organizations had a common challenge of an insufficient or total lack of the ministry’s honouring of invitations to their programs.
At the end of the interactions, concerned body provided adequate information for the betterment of youth development in Lagos State.
In conclusion, the ministry encouraged VYOs and NGOs to send in their 2019 reports and work plans for 2020.
The 2019 annual interactive session had in attendance the honourable commissioner for the ministry of youth and social development, Mr Segun Daudu, the permanent secretary, directors of various departments and representatives from among the 56 recognized voluntary youth organizations (VYOs) and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in Lagos state.
