His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khilafatul Masih V (May Allah continue to be his helper) has appointed Dr. Sanni Taofeek Adedayo as the new Sadr, Majlis Khuddamul-Ahmadiyya Nigeria.
The appointment was made known to the public following an official statement that was released from the office of the immediate past Sadr Majlis Khuddamul-Ahmadiyya, Eng. Aina K. Saheed at 14:20 Sunday, West Africa Time (WAT) on 15th November 2020.
In the statement, Eng. Aina announced: “I wish to inform you that Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khilafatul Masih V (May Allah continue to be his helper) has appointed Dr. Taofeek A. Sanni, erstwhile Naib Sadr Admin as the Sadr Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Nigeria for one year, November 1, 2020 – October 31, 2021.”
The new Sadr, Dr. SANNI, Taofeek Adedayo was born on 31st August 1981. He started his formal education at I.M.G. Primary School 1, Apata, Ibadan in 1986. He would later attend Apata Community Grammar School and School of Science, Okebola for his secondary education and Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye for his undergraduate and a part of his postgraduate studies. At these institutions, Dr. Sanni obtained his Secondary School Certificate (SSCE), his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery Certificate (M.B.Ch.B) and a Master in Public Health Certificate (MPH). He his currently a Resident Doctor pursuing his fellowship (specialization) training and he is a member of West African College of Physicians (MWACP) as well as an Associate Fellow (Public Health) of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (AFMCPH). Dr. Sanni is a student at the Texila American University where he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Public Health programme since 2018 till date.
Over the years, Dr. Sanni has demonstrated strong commitments to religious duties within the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Nigeria. In particular, he has held different positions within the Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya, Nigeria since 2003, serving at both local and national levels. To cite a few, he served as AMSA President OOU Ago – Iwoye; AMSA President, Ogun State; AMSA National President; Mutamad, MKAN Oru Muqam; Tarbiyyah Secretary, MKAN Ijebu Dil’a; Mutamad, Remo Dil’a; Ogun State Qaid; Naib Sadr Southwest; Naib Sadr Admin until his recent appointment by His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khilafatul Masih V (May Allah continue to be his helper) as Sadr Majlis Khuddamul-Ahmadiyya Nigeria.
Dr. Sanni’s outstanding leadership experience is not limited to MKAN as he has served in numerous capacities in secular domains. He has held different positions in various professional and
academic associations including Olabisi Onabanjo University Medical Students’ Association (OOUMSA); Nigeria Medical Students’ Association (NIMSA); Association of Resident Doctors, Federal Teaching Hospital Ido – Ekiti; Association of Public Health Physicians of Nigeria (APHPN), Ekiti State and Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), among others.
He is happily married to two wives and has children.
