With a view to educating the children on self-reliance and development, Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Omi Adio has taken the Atfal and Nasrat to Al-Ikhlas Fish Farm Ltd, Ori-Okuta Community, Omi Adio for excursion.
The move was in line with the determination of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya in changing the orientation of Ahmadi children and is accorded priority as craft training session is embedded in their periodical training syllabus.
The Chief Executive Officer of the farm, Mr. Saheed Olawoyin, lectured the children thoroughly on fish production from fish hatching stage, to fingerling, to juvenile and to adult stage. He also stressed the importance of fish production on local and national scene.
He also informed the children that fish farming is never a dirty job and it is unrestricted of any profession. He sighted example of a Professor of Mathematics who happened to be a successful fish farmer.
Thirty Five (35) Atfal and Fifteen (15) Nasrat-ul-Ahmadiyya participated in the programme.
