Not less than 15 cyclists and 27 members of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Edo/Delta State participated in the Ride for Peace held at Benin on 26th November, 2017.
The event, which covered a distance of 15km and lasted for 3 hours, was held along Ring Road through Sakponba Road to 2nd East Circular to Sapele Road to Oba Market Road to Plymouth (Adesogbe) Road to Airport Road to Akenzua Road to Stadium Road to 2nd Freedom Street to Osuma Street to 1st Freedom Street to the Mosque as the final destination.
The Majlis was accompanied by 15 Officers from Edo State Traffic and Management Agency (EDSTMA) with two escort powerbikes and 2 pickup vans. Three different Pamphlets were distributed “What is Islam?”, “Islam: A Comprehensive Religion” and “Freedom and Loyalty”.
The campaign was warmly received by members of the public as many expressed joy and surprise that Muslims are undertaking initiatives that promotes understanding and tolerance.
Dignitaries at the event include Comrade Innocent Ajayi, Chairman, NYCN Edo state; Maulvi A.L. Ilori, Circuit Missionary, Eastern Region; Maulvi Zafrullah Mustafa, Port Harcourt; Alh. S.W Egwa, Benin Jama’at President; Bro. Musa Idris, former MKAN Naib Sadr, SouthSouth/SouthEast and represents Nazim Ansarullah and Bro. Suleiman Ameen, Naib Sadr, SouthSouth/SouthEast.
