Atfal from Ota District Celebrates Atfal Day 2025 with Memorable Airport Excursion

Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya Ota District marked Atfal Day with an extraordinary and educational excursion to Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2) in Lagos, on Tuesday May 27, 2025.

The event, a vibrant celebration of learning and exploration, left an indelible mark on the 84 enthusiastic Atfal who participated.
Under the steadfast leadership of District Qaid Mr. Ajuwon Shakirudeen, supported by 14 dedicated executive members, the Atfal embarked on a meticulously planned adventure designed to inspire and educate.

The day began with a comprehensive guided tour of MMA2, where airport staff warmly welcomed the group. The Atfal were introduced to key operational areas, gaining firsthand insights into the intricacies of airport management. From navigating check-in counters to observing baggage claim processes and security checkpoints, the boys were immersed in the dynamic world of aviation.

The highlight of the excursion was the opportunity to board an actual aeroplane. The Atfal learned about in-flight safety procedures and the critical roles of pilots and cabin crew. Exploring the cockpit and seating areas, they marveled at the technology and teamwork that ensure safe air travel, sparking curiosity and excitement.

As the group journeyed back, the bus buzzed with animated discussions as the Atfal shared their experiences and newfound knowledge. The day concluded with a reflective session, a heartfelt vote of thanks, and congregational prayers, fostering a sense of gratitude and unity.

This enriching event exemplified Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya’s commitment to nurturing informed, morally grounded, and confident young minds. By blending education with real-world exposure, the excursion reinforced the organization’s mission to cultivate leadership and spiritual growth among its youth.
