In a vibrant celebration of Atfal Day 2025, Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya Ojokoro Locality organized an enriching excursion to Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2), Lagos, on May 27, 2025 engaging 48 Atfal in an educational and thrilling experience.
Led by Muhtamim Qaid and his vice departed from Tahir Mosque, Ojokoro, Lagos, in the morning, arriving at MMA2 by 11:00 AM. The activities commenced at 11:45 AM with a guided tour of the terminal. Airport staff warmly welcomed the Atfal, guiding them through key operational areas, including check-in counters, baggage claim zones, and security checkpoints.
A highlight of the day was the rare opportunity for the Atfal to board an actual aeroplane, immersing them in the passenger experience. Inside the aircraft, they explored seating arrangements, viewed the cockpit, and learned about in-flight safety protocols and the roles of pilots and cabin crew.
The tour concluded at 3:30 PM, followed by an enthusiastic bus ride back to Ojokoro, with the Atfal animatedly sharing their experiences and marveling at the day’s adventure. The excursion was not only marked Atfal Day memorably but also aligned with Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya’s mission to foster morally upright, informed, and spiritually grounded young minds through real-world exposure.
The visit wrapped up with a group reflection, a vote of thanks, and congregational prayers, leaving the Atfal inspired and enlightened.
