AMSA LAUTECH orientates freshers, decorates Patron, Patroness

Ahmadi Muslim Students’ Association, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology has orientated the newly admitted students of the university and decorated patron and patroness of the association at Ahmadiyya Central Mosque, Ile-Ewe, Ogbomoso on 2nd February, 2020.

The event themed “Campus Distractions and their Effects on Academic Performance: the Way Out” was delivered by the guest speaker, Missionary AbdulFatir Abdulsalam.

The speaker highlighted the causes, effects and way out of campus distractions for both freshers and old students. He pin-pointed lack of discipline, determination and perseverance, social media and others as part of campus distractions that debar students from reaching their academic goals.

While proffering way out for the new students, Abdulsalam mentioned that moving with the righteous ones on campus, having focus and determination, avoiding laziness and setting goals are the steps in the right direction for students to meet their academic goals at the end of their stay in the school.

At the event were dignitaries as Ikoyi-Ile Ogbomoso District youth leader (Dil’a Qaid), Ogbomoso locality leader (Muqam Qaid), Bro Akintayo AbdulMalik, Ikoyi-Ile Ogbomoso Circuit Rishtanata Secretary, Alh. Engr Olaleye and General Secretary of the National Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Mr Alagbe Luqman, among others.

Also, the fatherly and motherly figures present also admonished the newly admitted students to focus on their studies and avoid bad company in the University.

In the same vein, the student association also used the occasion to decorate patron and patroness who shall serve as its anchor in moral and material guidance.
