The Assistant Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Osun State, Mr. Ganiyu Adeloye, has applauded Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Nigeria (MKAN) for its outstanding commitment to youth discipline, crime prevention, and drug-free advocacy. He gave this commendation while speaking at a symposium held at the Admus International Event Center during the national convention of the organization.
Mr. Adeloye, who addressed a large gathering of young Muslims and dignitaries, noted that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Organization has proven itself to be a model of uprightness in a time when youth involvement in crime is on the rise. “I commend MKAN for living up to its pledge and responsibilities,” he said. “I can boldly say that, in my 29 years of service, I have never encountered any member of the Ahmadiyya community involved in drug abuse or trafficking.”
He went on to announce that, going forward, the NDLEA will officially acknowledge and accept recommendation letters issued by any branch of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria in visa clearance matters. According to him, this decision stems from the agency’s recognition of the community’s credibility and long-standing reputation for discipline and moral rectitude.
Speaking further, the Assistant Commander urged MKAN to remain consistent in its social advocacy and educational campaigns. “Achieving your duties is one thing; sustaining them is another,” he remarked. “Programs like the ‘Stop the Crime’ campaign are what you should continue, it plays a vital role in keeping the public informed and engaged in the fight against crime.”
Mr. Adeloye also encouraged the youth group to intensify its efforts in educating the public on the dangers of drug abuse. He emphasized that hard drugs often push individuals into lives of criminality, and that consistent public enlightenment remains key in combating this trend.
He concluded his address by reaffirming the agency’s readiness to partner with organizations like MKAN in building a safer and drug-free society through proactive education, collaboration, and integrity-based leadership.
