Over 250 Ede Residents Benefit from MKAN Free Medical Outreach

As part of activities heralding the 51st Annual National Ijtema, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Nigeria (MKAN) on Thursday, April 17th, 2025, conducted a life-impacting medical outreach in Ede, Osun State. The outreach was held in front of the palace of the Timi of Edeland and witnessed participation from more than 250 beneficiaries, including men, women, and children from the host community and its environs.

The one-day exercise was aimed at promoting wellness and addressing common health concerns among the public, especially in underserved areas. The outreach featured a range of free medical services, including tests for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Malaria, HIV, Random and Fasting Blood Sugar, as well as free medical consultations, health talks, and distribution of prescribed medications.

The medical outreach was officially flagged off by the Naib Sadr Admin of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Nigeria, Mr. Idris Fashina, who commended the efforts of the healthcare volunteers and reiterated the organization’s commitment to humanitarian service.

Speaking at the event, the Naib Sadr, South West Region, Mr. Ridwan Yusuf, charged the participants to prioritize their health, stressing that wellness is foundational to a productive life. “A healthy life is indeed a wealthy life,” he remarked, adding that the youth wing of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community remains committed to selfless service to humanity through impactful programmes such as this.

The health talk segment provided useful guidance on preventive healthcare, hygiene, and lifestyle adjustments, while the consultancy unit offered participants tailored medical advice. Medications were provided free of charge to all patients based on their test results and clinical findings.

The outreach once again affirmed MKAN’s commitment to national development and humanitarian service through grassroots intervention. It also echoed the broader vision of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the propagation of peace, moral uprightness, and service to humanity — in line with its global motto, “Love for All, Hatred for None.”

The successful medical outreach in Ede is one of several activities lined up ahead of the grand Ijtema, bringing both physical and spiritual benefit to Nigerians across religious, ethnic, and social lines.
