The Majlis Khuddamul-Ahmadiyya, Ibadan District has paid a courtesy visit to Kenneth Dike Library in the Premier University of Ibadan, on
The Muslim youths were received by the acting director of the library, in the person of Mr C.O. Ola.
The acting director of the library was brief about the selfless activities of Ahmadi Muslim Youth Nigeria, such, such as Ride for Peace, Blood Donations, Dignity of Labour, Stop the Crime Campaign, and tree planting among other activities in serving their communities.
The youths also informed the Acting Director about the Tabligh exercise of the Majlis to reform the mindsets of people from misconceptions attached to Islam as a religion that fosters violence. In furtherance to this, it was stressed that on the premise of removing the misconceptions, the need arises to be donating books to the library since it is a place where people visit to seek knowledge about knotty issues of society, religion and others and get exposed to facts on such issues.
The Acting Director in his response commended the Majlis to have considered the library for such quality, informative and educative visitation, and conclusively, he promised not to pose denial to the people accessing the aforementioned books donated, to keep the books in good condition and to keep a record of how much the books are read that members can check back to ascertain if the books serve the purpose for which they were donated.
Mr C.O. Ola. also commended the Muslim youths for all the activities done to serve humanity and sustain peace in society.
Members present during the visits were District Youth Leader; Mr Qazeem Adisa, the serving Missionary assigned to the Ibadan circuit, Missionary Jamiu Shittu, Mr Oladejo Habeeb, the Secretary, Mr Ghaniy Adenekan, Naib Nazim Tabligh, Mr Habeebullah Adedeji and Mr Ridwanullah Shittu, a khadim who is a student of the university, and Miss Hibatur Rahmon Abdullah a student of the University of Ibadan Chemistry Dept and president of Ahmadi Muslim Women Students’ Association (AMWSA) the University of Ibadan.
