As part of preparations for the 51st Annual National Convention of Majlis Khuddam Ahmadiyya Nigeria (MKAN), the youth wing of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at has continued its strategic engagements across Ede, Osun State — the host town of this year’s event.
On Tuesday, April 15th, the Acting Sadr (National President), Mr. Idris Fashina, led a delegation of MKAN officials on a courtesy visit to the Ede North Division of the Western Nigeria Security Network, popularly known as Amotekun. The team was warmly received by the Area Commander, Mr. Ajala Moronkola.
During the meeting, Mr. Fashina introduced the organization and highlighted the major activities scheduled for the upcoming convention. He explained that the gathering is aimed at promoting the peaceful teachings of Islam, strengthening moral values, and encouraging spiritual growth among Nigerian youth. He also mentioned the humanitarian arm of the program — a free medical outreach to be held ahead of the convention — as part of the organization’s commitment to community service.

In his response, Mr. Moronkola congratulated MKAN on its 51st annual convention and welcomed the team to Ede North. He commended the youth body for its role in promoting peace and values through religion and pledged Amotekun’s partnership in ensuring a safe and secure environment during the event.
The visit marks another step in MKAN’s dedication to strengthening ties with local institutions and promoting mutual understanding and collaboration as the convention draws near.
