As part of the build-up to the 51st Annual National Convention of Majlis Khuddam Ahmadiyya Nigeria, MKAN (Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Organization), scheduled to hold from Thursday, April 17th to Sunday, April 20th, 2025, in Ede, Osun State, the youth body has commenced official visits to key Islamic and community leaders in the host town.

The first of such visits took place today, Monday, April 14th, with a courtesy call on Fadheelatu Sheikh, Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Tijani Adekilekun, the Chief Imam of Ansarudeen, Ede. Welcoming the delegation, Sheikh Ibrahim commended the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at as a vital contributor to the divine mission of establishing Islam’s supremacy and fostering peace among religions. He affirmed that the Ahmadiyya fold is a brother community to Ansarudeen and all Muslim sects, urging unity and mutual respect within the Ummah.

While pledging his full support for the upcoming Ijtema (convention), the Chief Imam promised to promote and broadcast the event within the Muslim community in Ede. He expressed delight at the visit and the forthcoming activities, describing them as both spiritually enriching and socially relevant.

Speaking during the visit, the Acting Sadr (National President), Mr. Idris Fashina, highlighted the aims of the youth organization and officially invited the Chief Imam to the convention. He announced that a free medical outreach will be held on Wednesday, April 16th, in front of the Ede Palace, as one of the pre-Ijtema humanitarian services.

Mr. Fashina also unveiled the convention theme — “Our Pledge, Our Responsibilities”, a theme he noted will drive conversations and sessions on personal accountability, spiritual development, and civic engagement.

He was accompanied by the Naib Sadr, South West, Mr. Ridwan Yusuf; the Osun State Qaid (President), Mr. Afeez Adejumo; the former Osun State Qaid, Mr. Shakirullah Lawal; and other national and state officers of the youth organization.
