More than 800 secondary school students have been orientated by Ahmadi Muslim Youth Organization (Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya), Osogbo District on the dangerous effects of crime and other criminal activities.
The orientation was done during the District’s Stop the Crime Campaign held between 12th and 18th March 2020, where the students were urged to stop crimes and embrace good morals.
The schools that benefited from the campaign include CAC Government Middle School, Aromolaran Memorial School and Anglican/St Mark Government Secondary School.
In line with such initiative, Bro. Saheed Alawode presented the details of the campaign by explaining that crime constitutes a major threat to National security and stability of African countries while urging the students to shun all sorts of crime be it personal, financial and cyber and to make their conducts right and polite.
The youth team, under the leadership of Bro. Tela Qamarudeen, reiterated that criminal acts can be shunned by avoiding bad groups, engaging in useful acts and focusing on one’s dream.
Meanwhile, in their separate speeches, the headteachers of the visited schools appreciated the Majlis and urged that such encouraging programme should not be stopped for the development of future generations.
