Ahmadi Muslim Youth Organization (Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya), Epe District has held its stop the crime campaign at Odomola Junior Secondary School, Epe on 6th March, 2020.
During the campaign, the secondary school students were sensitized on cyber crime, its consequences to their lives and the society at large and the steps to take to avoid crimes and criminal activities.
At the end of the exercise, the school principal and other teachers appreciated the presence of Ahmadi youths and believed that the sensitization would help reduce bad behaviours and immoral acts in the society.
The school head boy, in his remarks, said: “We sincerely appreciate your coming and to have chosen to come to our school out of all schools in Epe Local Government Area. We will be happy to see you next time.”
A total number of 997 students was recorded to have taken part in the exercise.
In another development, members of Ahmadi Muslim Youth Organization (Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya), Osun State has also held its stop the crime campaign at Ibikunle Lawal College on 6th March, 2020.
The sensitization, which lasted for more than one hour, focused on cyber crimes.
The students were given stop the crime campaign leaflets to read so as to educate them more on crime and its consequences.
After the presentation, some students asked questions like: Can corporal punishment by the parents be termed child abuse? Can keeping left-over change after an errand be called a crime?
Comprehensive answers were given to the students.
In her remarks, the senior girl, representing the whole students, appreciated the majlis for choosing their school for the campaign and requested for more of it in the year to come.
At the end of the campaign, 103 students were recorded to have benefited from the programme.
