Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Organization (Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya), Kwara State has taken Stop the Crime Campaign to Nawair-ud-Deen Secondary School, Offa on 4th March 2020.
The campaign team was led by the state youth leader, Bro Abdussalam Shakur. Bro Ajibade Luqman made a brief introduction to the Stop the Crime Campaign initiative and other activities of the Majlis to the students with a view to improving the community and society as a whole.
A comprehensive speech was delivered by Bro Sholarin Abdur-Rosheed who explained the concept of crime – its meaning, types, causes, effects, punishments, how to shun crime and modes of reporting crimes to the entire audience both in English and Yoruba for better understanding.
He emphasized more on cyber crime as it is a major menace in the society.
Responding, the principal of the school appreciated the Majlis Khuddam who has made his school worthy of this campaign regardless of the challenges encountered, positing that the campaign would help change the orientation of students about crime and prevent them from indulging in it.
The School Counsellor also echoed that the campaign was somewhat timely as civilization and socialization were having deteriorating effects on the youths these days.
Furthermore, she charged the Majlis not to relent in organizing such activities, while keeping them at heart to also benefit from the campaign subsequently.
Lastly, they all (students, teaching, non-teaching and administrative staffs) showed gratitude to the Majlis Khuddam together for such beautiful initiative on Stop the Crime Campaign.
Fliers were distributed and group photographs were taken.
Majlis members who attended the event include: Muallim Abdullah Ahmad, Bro Ajibade Luqman, Bro Bello Hameed, Bro Qaseem Muftau, Bro Oladoja Muddathir, Bro Abdulazeez Basheer, Balogun AbdulBasit and Bro Olowofayokun Sherifdeen.
