Ahmadi Muslim Youth Organization (Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya), Kwara State has paid a courtesy visitation to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command on 12th February, 2020.
Kwara State Qaid, Bro. Abdussalam Shakirullah introduced the Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya as the youth wing of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, while highlighting the various activities carried out by the organisation like stop the crime campaign, voluntary blood donation, dignity of labour and ride for peace, among others.
He explained that the services rendered by the organisation is not limited to Muslims alone but also extends to the whole humanity irrespective of tribe, religion or creed.
Continuing, the state youth leader also informed the security outfit that the 47th annual national convention of the organisation would come up between 9th and 12th April, 2020 at Offa, Kwara state. He said that the organization felt the need to inform all security agencies within the state of the programme which not less than 3,000 youths were expected.
Responding, the commandant, ably represented by the deputy commandant, thanked the organisation for the visit, saying that he was grateful that Ahmadiyya still continued to be the progenitor of education among Muslims as they have been from time immemorial.
While asking Dr Mashhud Fashola who was his lecturer at the University of Lagos and Dr Saheed Timehin whose lecture he never missed when he was serving at Lagos State, the deputy commandant said he really loved the way Dr. Timehim delivers his lecture and he urged the Majlis to intensify its invitation to Islam (dawah) activities at Ilorin to meet up the standard he knew in Lagos.
He promised to deliver the message to the commandant and assured that a positive response would be given.
He thanked the Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya and urged them to be an ambassador of peace wherever they are as Islam preaches and that they should always report any activity that threatens the security of the people.
Bro Abdussalam then presented three copies of the book “World Crisis and the Pathway to Peace” by Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (atba). The deputy commandant requested for a copy of the Jama’at Qur’an with English translation and the state Qaid promised to get it across to him.
