To give total support to the commencement of operations of Muslim Television Ahmadiyya (MTA) International in Nigeria, Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Nigeria has attended a one-day capacity building training for the volunteers held on 17th September, 2017 at Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Headquarters, Ojokoro.

The training focused on the tips of basic television production and script writing as the participants at the training were drawn from the auxiliary bodies of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community in Nigeria.

The lead presenter on the basic tips of television production, Alhaji Nurudeen Shobambi, who doubles as the Head of Production, took the participants through the key terms in television broadcasting, camera handling and camera shooting. He used the practical session to demonstrate professionalism in camera handling and camera shooting.

The second facilitator, Dr Qasim Akinreti, who doubles as the Coordinator of MTA International Nigeria Studios, talked on the technicalities of script writing for various media platforms. He also used the gathering to explain the operations of MTA International and its set objectives.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Akinreti said: “Today’s training is one of the numerous line-up capacity building sessions earmarked for the volunteers of MTA International Nigeria studios.

I am impressed with your enthusiasm to serve the Jama’at at this capacity. I am also overwhelmed with your passion for learning. I implore you all to keep developing your talents in order to collectively take this project to higher levels.”
It will be recalled that Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Nigeria (MKAN) recently visited the MTA International Africa Studios in Ghana. In his remarks, the Muavin Sadr MKAN, Amb. Popoola Ishaq Olamilekan said: “We were highly motivated with what we saw at the MTA Africa Studios in Ghana. In addition to that, the participation of MKAN members at today’s training was a reflection of the promises made by the leadership of MKAN, headed by our respected Sadr Sahib, Engr. Aina Sa’eed. Apart from what we saw today, we still have quite a number of other MKAN members who have enrolled for this blessed project, being championed by our beloved Huzur (ATBA).

In terms of programme contents and quality productions, we hope to see the Nigeria Studios at par with what are obtainable at the United Kingdom Studios, within the shortest possible time.”
The Head of Training, Mr. Abdul-Ganiyy Banuso, appreciated the supports of the volunteers and encouraged them to be fully prepared for the tasks ahead.

Other participants at the training include Hafiz Shobambi Abdul-Ganiy, Head of Translation; Mualim Abdul-Kabir Aderibigbe, Office Manager; Mr. Bashir Lamina, Head of IT; Mrs. Azeezat Omoyele, Head of Lajna; and a host of others. Out of over thirty participants at the training, sixteen members of MKAN, including seven Mulk Officers, were in attendance.
